A letter to my Younger Self

We all wished we could go back and do something differently and chosen different paths once in a while. Sometimes we also wished we had someone from the future come and prevent us from doing something which resulted in hurting someone we cared for.
We all felt at one point how different our life would have been if we hadn't joined that particular college or didn't go to that party or actually went on that trip. Life works in such weird ways.
Here are some things I wish I had known when I was younger:
That one exam is not going to decide your life, go get some sleep.
The boy who you thought was everything, he would become nothing the following year.
Parents are not your enemies, you will know this when you go live in the real world.
Put that phone away and be in the fucking moment.
That heartbreak is not gonna kill you.
Your friend is just shifting to another city but they are still gonna be your friend.
Do something just because you want to and not because of peer pressure.
There's always more to a story than people think so stop assuming.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do is to take a step back and give yourself a chance to breathe.
Get a hobby that's therapeutic. It will help.
You think you know people, and then they surprise you.
You will survive without them.
If you really want something, you don't stop for anyone or anything until you get it.
Even if no one appreciates you, it's important that you don't stop being good.
It gets easier. Every day it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it every day. That's the hard part. But it does get easier.
This is all I can think of right now. If you have something you wanted to tell your younger self, do let me know in the comments.
