It is important for us to know our-self. It is true when we see posts like, "You need to love yourself before you search for it in someone else".
Today this post is about mental health.
We are living in an opinionated world where everything we do and everything we don't do results in an opinion from our family, friends, neighbors and even strangers. But it depends on us whether we want to pay heed to the opinions of others or not. From outside to anyone, my life looks like I have it all right ?But I guess that is the same opinion I have on my friends. But I know nothing is what it looks like. From outside we see amazing artists, comedians, dancers, fashion designers and many more in our friends but in the inside they might be struggling to talk to someone who they know will not go behind and gossip.
Yeah I know, you would be thinking and saying, "you have parents, teachers, friends, you can go maybe talk and share with them" but it's not easy, never has been. We are scared of their opinions and what they might say about us to others. We are scared that we won't be taken seriously. We are scared that we are the only one feeling this way. BUT NO.
There are so many of us feeling scared, crying themselves to sleep and not having anyone to tell what they are going through and believe me- I have been there and done that.
My advice to you all is It's gonna be okay. You are an amazing human being and whatever you are going through is only gonna be temporary because nothing is permanent in this world.
All I want you to understand is - IT'S OKAY TO FEEL WHATEVER YOU ARE FEELING.
It's okay to cry, it's okay to eat, it's okay to throw things, it's okay to break things if that's what will make you better.
Keep loving yourself, this is your life. If not you, then who?Right !
So I have done some research and you can contact below services if you ever have any problems ( not related to money 😂)
1. Chat with a professional with ePsyclinic : The site also has an app. You just need to get on it and start chatting with a professional. It was started especially for the young work force of India and helps professionals deal with depression, anxiety, addiction and even relationship issues.
2. Speak to someone at iCALL : It is a psychosocial helpline, which offers counselling services to people in distress. The service is run by professional, trained counselors, from Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 10 PM. They aim at providing emotional support and guidance through call or mail.
3. Call up The Vandrevala Foundation on their helpline number : Irrespective of where you are in India, you can contact them on: 1860-266-2345, 7304599835 and 1800-233-3330. The staff is taught by trained clinical psychologists and psychiatrists. You can ask for an experienced psychiatrist as well. The aim here is to figure out the problem and see how it can be fixed.
4. Get help with just an email with Banjara Academy : Banjara Academy has been helping people struggling with mental illness and this initiative by them is particularly applause worthy. Just send an email to mycounsellor@banjaraacademy.org listing out all your problems. There are no hidden costs or registration that would be required of you.
And I am here too, in case you need someone to talk to about anything and everything, I AM HERE.
Taking care of our mental health lies with us and we would be solely responsible to take care of us.
