What NEXT?!

Ever since I entered the final year of my engineering, everyone starting from my maid to my cousin in the United States started asking me this million-dollar question- What NEXT?

I don't understand why everyone is curious, I mean I myself have no idea what I will do after my Under graduation but what I know is I really need a break from all this.

Why don't people ever ask us if we are happy? Why is a future plan more important than a person's mental well being. Yes yes I get it future is important but what's the point of future when a person isn't happy in the present itself. So please next time you meet someone who is studying their final year, ask them if they are happy instead of asking What NEXT!

I was wondering few months back what to do after my Under-graduation and I came to these conclusions:

1. Take a break and travel- gives a perspective on life

2. Work in a Startup-can learn about all departments and everyday challenges

3. Take up a job in an MNC - 9 to 5, weekend holidays,monthly salary

4. Start a small business- more investment needed, rate of success is very less

5. Go abroad for higher studies- Everyone's doing it at some point.

6. Work in Marketing/Advertising- Gotta change with the trend

7. Become a Travel/Fashion Blogger- A saturated market

8. Work in an Event Management Company- It's a lifestyle and you get to meet so many people

9. To start teaching- this is a safe play

10. Prepare for Government exams- government job comes with benefits
